Damian Castaldi is an independent sound artist and musician currently based in Sydney, Australia. This page documents some of his sound installation projects over the last six years.
> April 2009 – Coal Country – A mixed media installation that predicts the effects of climate change on the Australian East coast landscape and from an aerial perspective the sky above.
> June 2007 - Beta design for an interactive ringtone sculpture. In collaboration with C4 Communications for installation in the Melbourne Telstra Consept store, 2008.
> December 2005 – Time’s UP - Mixed media work for the Artist Against Sedition Laws Exhibition, Casula Powerhouse.
> January 2005 – i(k)now(w)here – Artist residency at the Performance Space Sydney to develop a travelling telephonic sound installation.
> 2003/2004 – Research in France to develop a Distributed Arts Wireless Network – dAWN
> September 2002 – ‘Beyond the Razor Wire’ Sound installation in collaboration with Solange Kershaw. Audio excerpt exhibited as part of Borderpanic, Performance Space, Sydney. Reviewed by Kim Mathes.
